We are so happy to be able to say we finally got to meet in person Mike and Lara Alston who helped us tremendously in the planning stages right on thru to the rest of our trip! ( Tom and Michelle Sanches are Mike's sister and brother in law) We truly have been able to experience our worldwide brotherhood in many ways but, the Alston's will always stand out to us as remarkable evidence of Jehovah's hand in our trip!
So, they came and spent one night with us as it was an hour and a half travel by bus and taxi for them. They have so many bible studies one day was all they could spend away from home. :) We felt so privileged they went thru so much effort to get to meet us. We had an amazing time with them! Spending time with other needgreaters was so awesome! Especially such "seasoned" needgreaters! We are just needgreaters in training! =)
We enjoyed as many American foods as we could get our hands on.....including COFFEE!!!! Neither Brandon nor I could have imagined we would miss coffee as much as we do. There is "coffee" here but I say it that way because it's instant coffee. Not exactly Starbucks! :) Mike and Lara had recently traveled to Suriname and were able to purchase some really good coffee. We were soooo thankful they shared!!!

Thank you so much for the wonderful experiences. I found this blog by accident while I was looking for Tom and Michelle Sanches. My wife and I studied with Tom and Michell several years ago while we lived in California.
